Kenya
Current Projects
Two initiatives that need support right now: rapid help in acute emergencies and vocational training that lasts.
Direct aid for people in need
Fast help. Reliable support. New perspectives in Kenya.

When the essentials are missing
Many people in Kenya live under extremely difficult conditions: in informal settlements, in simple corrugated iron huts, or on the street with no permanent housing at all. Unemployment and a lack of income mean there is not enough food, clothing, medical care or safe shelter. Families and single mothers are particularly affected, as they often have to manage everyday life without a reliable social network.
This is exactly where direct aid begins: It first secures survival and at the same time creates the space in which people can make their own decisions again and develop new perspectives.
How the help works on the ground
The non-profit association LiebevollIch e.V. works on site together with the non-profit association Dignity Horizon Kenya. A permanently employed social work professional from Dignity Horizon Kenya maintains personal contact with the people affected, records their specific situation and agrees the necessary immediate measures with LiebevollIch e.V. This way, help arrives quickly, appropriately and without red tape exactly where it is needed.
Listening
The social work professional from Dignity Horizon Kenya stays in contact, listens and identifies the most urgent needs together with the people affected.
Coordinating
Dignity Horizon Kenya and LiebevollIch e.V. agree on suitable measures that can be implemented immediately.
Helping directly
Food, clothing, medical support or help with safe accommodation are organised.
Creating perspectives
The support continues. The goal is a self-determined path out of acute hardship and out of lasting dependency.

What your donation can achieve
Securing food
Food for people and families in acute need.
Providing clothing
Suitable clothing and essential items for everyday life.
Protecting health
Support in accessing necessary medical care.
Stabilising housing
Help with safe, dignified accommodation where this is urgently required.
Encouraging independence
Support in building realistic prospects for the future.
Help towards self-help
Emergency aid is the first step, not the final goal. People are accompanied on their path towards self-determination. Together we develop viable options so that they can improve their living situation in the long term, take responsibility and overcome dependencies. In this way the project combines immediate support with a sustainable perspective.
With your donation you provide fast help and open up opportunities for tomorrow. Every contribution helps to accompany people through acute hardship with dignity.

Vocational Training Sponsorship Kenya
Give the gift of a future in dignity.
„Sometimes all it takes is one person who believes in you.“
Why we act
Many young people in Kenya have dreams, talent and the will to work, but no way to begin vocational training. A sponsorship turns that wish into a concrete path.
During the pilot phase we were already able to provide four young people with a training place. The training has been running very successfully for two months and gives us confidence that our approach is the right one.
The reality on the ground
Lack of financial means
Families cannot raise the school and training fees.
High unemployment
Without qualifications, access to the labour market remains closed.
No free training places
Every place has to be paid for and is out of reach for many.
What your sponsorship achieves
Training
A fully financed place in a recognised vocational profession.
Materials
Tools, work clothing and learning materials are provided for the start.
Support
Personal guidance from the team on the ground.
Progress reports
Regular updates on how your sponsored trainee is developing.
Vocational professions
Practical craft professions with real local demand. More will follow.
- Motorcycle mechanic
- Welder
- Hairdresser
- Tailor
- Competitive athlete
- Vegetable grower
- Construction worker
Building awareness
LiebevollIch e.V. has firmly anchored an awareness of dignity in the training plan. Personal responsibility, self-confidence, independence and a respectful way of working together are an integral part of the training.

Dignity Horizon Kenya
Our partner on the ground selects the young people according to social criteria, accompanies and monitors the training and is in daily contact with the workshops.
Two partners, one promise: Every euro arrives where it is needed, with no administrative costs.
Completion
At the end of the training period, a qualified examination is carried out by specialist staff. After passing, trainees receive a certificate.
